Job Description
Amnesty International UK’s goal is simple: to end human rights abuses. We are independent, global and influential and we fight for justice, fairness and freedom wherever they are denied. Are you looking to contribute to the improvement of the world with your leadership skills, knowledge, and experience?
This is a significant moment for AIUK. We recognize the need to make substantial changes in our organisational culture and our application of excellence for organisational development, equality diversity & inclusion, and antiracism. These are not strengths of AIUK in the past, but we want to make a leap towards becoming one of the most progressive and positive workplaces in the non-profit sector. We need someone who is excited about and capable of leading that transformation.
We are seeking a qualified and skilled leader in People & Culture. This person must be comfortable working with complex organizations and a wide range of stakeholders. You will be able to innovate and bring a fresh perspective. Additionally, you have extensive experience in managing large-scale change and developing best practices HR strategies and plans. You will be able to see how great people and cultural practices can foster and sustain agility and high performance.
Our organisation is in an early stage of a crucial transformation to be more inclusive, diverse, and positive. We need to have solid leadership to support this. We are open to all applicants, but we especially encourage those from ethnic minorities, older people, trans- and nonbinary peoples, and people with disabilities to apply. This will help us realise the benefits diversity brings to an organisation, particularly at the senior levels.
