As quickly as lightning, fans are calling for “The Flash” star Grant Gustin to replace Ezra Miller in a new WB movie about the DC comic book hero.
People at Warner Bros. have been very angry with Miller, 29, who is nonbinary and uses they/them pronouns. Miller was arrested on March 28 in Hawaii for disorderly conduct and harassment.
Because of the CW show called “The Flash,” Gustin, 32, has played Barry Allen, or “The Flash,” since 2014. The show was just renewed for a ninth season. Miller’s “The Flash” movie was supposed to come out sometime in 2023, but it never did.
Warner and DC executives met on March 30 to talk about the arrest of the “Perks of Being a Wallflower” actor. The future of the movie is still up in the air.
The conclusion of the meeting was to put a stop to all future projects with Miller and any public appearances they have planned for the movie.
According to Rolling Stone, Miller also had “frequent meltdowns” on the set of the movie last year, which was when the movie was being made.
Fans rushed to social media to call for Gustin to be the next big-screen Barry Allen, and they did it quickly. An old “Glee” alum is shown making the peace sign next to a gravestone with the picture of Miller on it.
Grant Gustin would have been a better DCEU [DC Extended Universe] Flash, a fan of Gustin said. Another said, “Ezra Miller should not play The Flash again or act at all until they get the help they clearly need.”
There needs to be a new Flash quickly because I’m worried about Ezra Miller’s well-being, one fan wrote.
That’s what someone said when they compared the WB movie to the CW show. “Grant gustin, please God, that man is so good. He deserves more than a $5 movie.”
